Background of the Study
Industrialization has historically been a catalyst for economic and political transformation in many regions. In Kano Municipal LGA, Kano State, the rise of local manufacturing hubs has contributed to the city’s economic growth and influenced political development (Ismail & Abubakar, 2023). This study examines how industrialization, particularly through local manufacturing hubs, has impacted political development in the region, focusing on governance, policy reforms, and socio-political stability.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
While the economic benefits of industrialization are often discussed, its effect on political development is often overlooked. In Kano Municipal LGA, local manufacturing hubs have contributed to economic growth but may also influence local governance structures, power dynamics, and political policies. This study seeks to explore how industrialization affects political development in this region.
